Customers wanted to be able to test different variations of their campaigns against one another. This A/B Testing Suite allows customers to create multiple versions of their campaigns and test content, design, and campaign settings.

Problems Solved

Customers needed a way to test different ideas they had for their campaigns. Prior to having this feature customers had to use outside applications to test and many did not test at all because of the complexities of creating tests in the referral marketing space. This end-to-end solution allows customers to use the inline editing experience in app to create and edit variations as well as clone campaigns settings to test different incentive amounts.

Design Process

Define: Our customers needed a way to test variations of their referral program. Creating an A/B Testing suite allows our customers to design and track these experiments.

Discover: Lots of user research went into this project. This was the first time A/B Testing was being done in the referral marketing space. Solutions were architected through investigating the indirect competitive landscape and brainstorming across cross functional teams.

Develop: Using rapid prototyping methodologies I architected the end-to-end workflow for this solution. This solution was tested and vetted across teams and customers.

Iterate: Design and engineering had to work closely together to ensure all things happening on the back-end related to testing were handled with care during the creation and analysis of these tests.

Deliver: Customers are able to create and analyze A/B Tests for their referral campaigns using this product feature.
